          The children enthusiastically celebrated Science Fiction Day as part of the school library activities with a series of engaging and creative events. The celebration aimed to spark imagination, encourage reading habits, and promote scientific curiosity among students.
          As part of the programme, a Bookmark Making Competition was conducted, where students creatively designed bookmarks inspired by futuristic themes and science fiction concepts. A book talk on Isaac Asimov’s famous work “I, Robot” helped students explore ideas related to robotics, artificial intelligence, and ethical science. Adding to the excitement, students presented a character sketch of Robbie the Robot, showcasing their understanding and interpretation of the iconic character. The event also included presentations on the biographies of renowned scientists, highlighting their contributions and inspiring young minds.

          Overall, the celebration provided a wonderful platform for students to showcase their creativity and passion for science fiction while fostering critical thinking, imagination, and a love for reading. The event successfully reinforced the role of the library as a center for knowledge, creativity, and innovation.
